lyrics

Walking in the garden the other day
I couldn't believe the things that you had to say
Back when we were both in the second grade
The sun it shined and knocked the rain away

But I know that my love is growing wild
Yes I know that my love is like a child, yeah.

Oh my god, there's a monkey in a tree
And oh my god he is waiting there for me

Jumping through the jungle, it's time to play
The congas beat and the beats are here to stay
Liquid bones and bamboo sticks, they lay
We're lost without a map and it's okay

Black Bottoms Attica, Indiana

Attica, Indiana Burger Festival - 1994.
Morris Burns was cooking burgers in a dank, decrepit tent. Townie Dave Alpert stumbled up and asked Burns, "Do you play an instrument?"
Burns voice, unshaken: "Yes."
"Want to start a band?"
Burns voice, still unshaken: "Yes."
Burns called to Nancy, his boss in the tent.
"Nancy, I quit."
Their first show was in the lanes at Attica Bowlers. Alpert broke a rib.
